London design special: what to see and where to see it

London Design Festival hub Victoria and Albert Museum, South Kensington The Victoria & Albert Museum is the hub for the festival, hosting a number of installations and events. A collaboration between composer Arvo Pärt and design-engineering firm Arup takes place in the Norfolk House Music Room, while a maze-like plywood installation by Waugh Thistleton Architects appears in the new Sackler Courtyard. Plus displays on patent infringement, experimental first world war dazzle camouflage and an anechoic chamber from “musical weirdo and visionary” Beatie Wolfe. Free, September 15-23; vam.ac.uk
