Thank you to everyone who came out to experience Unknown Movie Night at 2220 Arts + Archive. It was a remarkable evening that would not have been possible without the collaborative support of CyKiK, dublab, Late Breakfast, and a willing audience like you.
Film-selector Beatie Wolfe curated the evening’s screening, selecting Hal Ashby’s dark classic Harold and Maude. The musicians - Max Jaffe, Alex Kyhn, Alex Lilly, David Ralicke, and Peter Walker - took on the challenge, scaling the emotional fodder of the film and finding a new sonic interpretation.
The live score was recorded by Jen Krause and Chad Carlisle, duplicated to cassette by KamranV, and dispensed to attendees to take home along with posters designed by Francie Chang.
The screening was bookended by dj sets from Gay Felony, who was deep in her bag with unshazamable cuts.
